NHS mulls mobile testing units to track long-Covid
The National Health Service, England, is considering the rollout of mobile testing units in order to discover the effect of long-Covid on the future health of people. A trial of the testing programme in Essex is focusing on spirometry, a diagnostic test for lung conditions such as COPD and other respiratory diseases. According to scientists involved in the trial, NHS England said that the new initiative will target even harder to reach demographic groups as those areas that have fewer clinics offering long Covid testing.
