Patients with CKD, With or Without Diabetes, Had Similar Nutritional Status

A recent study examined the nutritional status of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and assessed whether the presence of diabetes had any significant impact. The findings revealed that individuals with CKD, regardless of whether they also had diabetes, exhibited comparable nutritional statuses. 

The research, which aimed to determine if diabetes influenced the nutritional status of CKD patients, concluded that both groups showed similar levels of nutritional deficiencies and requirements. The study’s results highlight the importance of closely monitoring and managing the nutritional needs of individuals with CKD, irrespective of their diabetic status.
