Thermo Fisher Scientific opens new India R&D centre

Thermo Fisher Scientific, one of the world’s top medical and life sciences technology companies, has opened its new India research & development and engineering centre at Hyderabad. The new facility -– India Engineering Center (IEC)– will be part of the med-tech giant’s global research and engineering network spanning 100 locations across the world. IEC will employ over 450 diversely talented engineers and vendor partners. Thermo Fisher Scientific, which currently invests more than $1.4 billion annually in R&D, is expected to have an annual planned R&D investment of about $15 million in the new India facility.
